Despite the fact that North Carolina has quite the warm climate, January is always a little drab and dreary ... a good time for diets and being unsocial. This year I started something I have been meaning to do for a while: Meditation.
Yes, I know what you are probably thinking - boring. But, it turns out to be quite the opposite. Eversince I staeted my venture into a second career, my mind has been going 100 miles per hour. I couldn't focus anymore, started numerous projects at the same time and never finished one efficiently. A no no for a true German, right? My sleep got worse and worse until I was down to maybe 4 hrs per night (thank you, fitbit for telling me). So, I was desperately looking for something to calm my mind down. And I think I found my remedy.
